AAXA P1 Jr. Micro Projector

Designed as a personal projector, the AAXA P1 Jr. is the world’s smallest LCOS pico projector with onboard MP4 player. Smaller than a smart phone and less than 1" thick the P1 Jr. employs AAXA’s tiny new P110 optical engine and produces a substantial 10 lumen image in a 4:3 aspect ratio. With a SD Card slot, USB-on-the-go, half-watt speaker, and a robust MP4 processor; the P1 Jr. is capable of playing videos, pictures, and music files as well as connecting to video output devices such as the Apple iPhone, Sony Playstation Portable, and portable DVD players.  My lil darling just absolutely loves this toy. She’s been wanting a TV in her own room but I didn’t want to leave her unsupervised in what she’s watching and all that parental control stuff was just too confusing for poor lil ol me. We connected this to a DVD player so she can watch watever children show she wants on a bigger screen for a lower price than we’d hope to pay for. Although, I’m not sure if watching too much in the dark is a good thing, but for the time being, it’s sure nice to give her a big screen to watch on.
 
Cool device and price4/13/2011
 I bought this projector because I’ve been wanting one without having to spend a lot of money. I’ve looked at some of the cheaper and bigger models and am quite surprised that they don’t perform as well as this one. Being able to use both SD Card and USB I think is a very nice feature since you never know which storage type your friends may have. It’s good to be able to use either one. The video quality was surprisingly good when I connected it to my portable DVD player. I only wish that there were headphone jacks on this, so I really wish I could give 4.5 stars instead.

 I’m giving this product 5 stars only on the basis of comparing it to other "toy" projectors. I’ve been shopping around and I’ve compared this to the Eye-Clops, Wonderwall, and Torpedo. This projector totally blows them away. It is a bit pricier, but $20-$40 more is totally worth it on the fact that you actually get a bright display with even colors. It sucks it doesn’t have a headphone jack though, but I guess the dinky speaker on it will just have to do. That’s my only downer on this unit, but then again, did exactly buy a projector for sound, that’s what speakers are for.

 I was so happy to finally get one of these. My old portable projector from optoma just wasn’t cutting it. I needed something that was a lot brighter and could really give me all I needed without having to drag my computer everywhere I go. I bought the P2 because it has everything I need to do presentations on the go. It has 1GB of memory and the ability to expand that using a microSD card. It has speakers built in and a plug to use external speakers if I want to. It has a media player that supports several different file types. And best of all, it is LED based so I never have to buy another bulb again! This thing is rated to last about 30,000 hours! I highly recommend the P2.
