| | My screen arrived safely about 7 days after ordering, which is pretty quick for free shipping from New Jersey to Arizona. At first I thought the mounting arrangement was a little lacking (no center support), but the case is made of nice, thick steel and it does not sag in the middle. I used a long painted 2 by 6 to pre-mount the screen on, then the 2 by 6 nails to the wall and the screen simply locks onto it.
Operation is very quiet and smooth, and I only have one small complaint: There is not enough room inside the switch box for the small inline fuse holder, and it broke when I snapped the cover back on after mounting the switch box to the wall. No big deal, I just took the fuseholder out and bypassed it, everything works and looks great now.
I was relieved to see that you can start and stop the screen anywhere you like. All things considered, this was a very well spent $300! |

I could not find a lower price anywhere for the size. The quality of the screen, the delivery time and the performance of the "quiet motor" is "superb."
The installation was very easy. Yes, I was "expecting" a remote control, but the electrician was able to install the switch where we needed it. |

Quiet motor operation
Fast shipping - well packaged
Installed on 12’ ceiling and 3’ away from wall, needed to rewire In-line control so it would not be to high on wall. Should not be an issue with normal ceilings or wall placement.
Extremely happy with quality and over-all experience. |

| | For the last couple of years since owning a projector, I had always displayed the image on a huge wall. I thought, "Who needs a screen?" But, since reorganizing my living room the wall was not an option I decided to buy a screen. And how great it turned out. The images are so solid and the color is bright and vivid. I now think, ’Why did I wait so long?" Even the best white wall can’t compare to a good movie screen. This is highly recommended.
But there is an issue. The delivery. Even though it was free, the carrier falied to deliver the screen. I had to call Yellow Roadway and schedule the delivery. As I scheduled it, I wanted all morning and it didn’t arrive. I called them again and apparently they took the screen off the truck. They then sent it to me that afternoon. They held onto the screen for a whole week before shipping. And would have been later if I hadn’t called.
In short, the screen is fantastic. But Alltec should serious consider a different carrier in delivering their products. |
